While COVID19 confines us, we're free to plan ahead for a big summer of VBS.
There is some anxiety in the air, but in general, stability is predominant.
Greetings from the Democratic Republic of the Congo! Our nation is experiencing infections and some deaths, with most of the activity reported in the capital city of Kinshasa. However, the number of cases are reported (if accurate) in the hundreds and not the thousands.
In our city of Bukavu, public gatherings are banned, and that means Future Hope Africa’s group activities (nearly everything we do) are also on hiatus. In general, we still have a relatively stable environment, although markets have experienced decreased food availability. Our staff is healthy and in good spirits.
One challenge: Giving to Future Hope Africa has declined and we still need your full support. We’re planning right now to reach hundreds of students through Vacation Bible School this summer.
