Celebration time: Our new education wing is open!

Monday we'll open our doors to serve more students. Thank you for your support.

It sounds too good to be true, but it's real! This Monday, Jan. 6, students will be learning in our expanded facility.

It's been a long road. But the generosity of the international Future Hope Africa family raised $13,000. We started digging in October and this weekend we're sweeping up, getting ready for the big week ahead.

If you aren’t familiar with the project, it’s an expansion of our existing Kanega Education Center. The center houses our after-school tutoring program, our summer school program and serves the community in many other ways.

Last week we dedicated the building with the help of some very special guests including (but not limited to):

  • Pastor Emmanuel Lubala, who leads the congregation started by Bintu's father, Kanega; he was accompanied by Elder Mushi

  • Bintu's mother, Marguerite

  • Many members of the Future Hope Africa team and friends

Pastor Emmanuel shared Haggai 1:8 and spoke favorably of the way Future Hope Africa represents God in the community.

‘Go up into the mountains and bring down timber and build my house, so that I may take pleasure in it and be honored,’ says the Lord.
— Haggai 1:8

Thank you doesn't seem adequate. But we earnestly thank you for your support.
